A graduate of Roanoke College, Kevin began his career in the travel industry,
where he perfected his technology skills managing the ever-changing automation of airline reservation systems known as GDS's (Global Distribution Systems).
Most recently, Kevin served for seven years as the Director of Operations & Information Technology at Martin Travel before joining the Tech Squared team in April of 2006.
During his tenure at Martin Travel, Kevin gained experience in enterprise-level server and network management, including email, anti-virus, anti-spam, and anti-spyware applications and solutions. He successfully lead the business through two, large-scale conversions from one GDS to another, as well as managing the relocation of Martin Travel's headquarters.
Kevin built a WAN (Wide Area Network) to connect five different locations to Martin Travel headquarters utilizing T1's, leased lines, ISDN, and VPN (Virtual Private Networking). He also managed the integration of two acquired businesses into the existing operation and WAN.
He has experience in telecommunications including analog phone lines, PRI's, BRI's, Digital branch extension and VoIP (Voice Over IP). He has an in depth working knowledge of Nortel phone systems.
Web development skills including basic web design, e-commerce Solutions and event registration applications are also a part of Kevin's broad range of technology knowledge.
Kevin is always looking for ways to automate and simplify time-consuming tasks. He enjoys teaching people how to get the most from the complex software applications utilized in today's businesses.
Kevin, his wife Cathleen, and their young sons, Patrick and Colin, live in Roanoke, Virginia.
