Thomas McKinnon is a Senior Technician with Tech Squared. Tom has been working in the computer and technology industry off and on since 1989.
After moving to Virginia in 1999, Tom spent some time working in the outdoor industry guiding trips for a wilderness adventure program and managing Blue Ridge Outdoors, a local outdoor outfitter. Tom’s work experience is extremely varied and ranges from management, sales, construction and photography, to owning small businesses, and even being a chef.
Now that he is firmly entrenched back in the technology industry, Tom’s background helps him to be able to relate to the technology needs of customers in all kinds of circumstances.
Tom is currently pursuing a degree in Information Systems Technology, specializing in computer networking. When not dealing with technology, Tom loves to hike, rock climb, mountain bike, backpack, and generally play outside. He lives in Roanoke, Virginia with his wife Lindsay, his son Patrick, and his two dogs, Sydney and Zeke.
